In response to a less attendance in the calss that day he told the above quote.
That day he taught us schottky and frenkel defects schottky defects occur in pairs, whereas frenckel defects occur singularly in crystalline structures. It was back in 2001 and I still remember it exactly becos of this example.
I studied in a conserative school in India. He was hinting about as to how many of the students who skipped that class in male-female pairs and how many did it alone.
